The Port of Nelson is
actually the biggest fishing port in Australasia. There are also a range of growth other industries, but the
artistic and craft community is at the hub along with great bars and restaurants. In recent times Nelson is made
up of Kiwis and increasing numbers of immigrants from the UK, Germany, and America and further. A very welcoming
culture, and Gateway to gorgeous beaches and a wonderful city to stay before exploring the magnificent
Able Tasman.
